Why take a intensive driving course or a short term driving course?
According to the latest Government Survey, people leaning to drive in the UK take on average 50 hours plus of professional driving tuition, and learn for over 14 months before passing the driving test. Taking just one driving lesson per week will help to spread out the training cost but you will end up paying far more in the long run. This is because the first half of the next lesson is often wasted getting to where you were at the end of the previous one - thus it is like taking two steps forward and one step back.

5 day intensive driving lessons
Intensive driving courses are a great way to learn to drive, for those who have already gained good experience in driving and have the time to take a short course, a 5 day intensive course with the driving test at the end is ideal. If you want a test at the end of the course you would need to book the course and pass the theory test well in advance of the required start date (i.e. at least one month in advance).

Short term driving course
These courses are for people who want to pass the test quickly but at a pace that suits them.Short term courses do exactly what they say; we give you driving lessons over a period of 2 to 10 weeks, dependant on your schedule. These courses are designed where training takes place a couple of time's each week or everyday; however unlike an intensive course, lessons are limited to 1.5 hours per session. It has been proven that an hour is too little time when learning whereas 2 hours can result in driver fatigue. Short term courses are our most popular and successful form of driver training, with over 75% of our customers choosing them!

Which type of course is best for you, intensive or short term?
If you are unsure which course is best for you, or whether or not a course is suitable for you, then you may want to book an assessment lesson, we offer you a 2 x 1.5 hour sessions and you only pay for 2 hrs. These assessment lessons give you enough time to become familiar with the driving school car and your instructor, and he in turn will have sufficient time to assess your abilities and answer any questions you may have.
